I made this beautiful, sturdy, entirely handmade stained glass boat using special three dimensional techniques. It is a scale model of a real taiwanese tricabin trawler, commissioned by the owner’s daughter’s to celebrate his birthday and detail has been added using copper wire.I built a canopy, and a special “charlie the chicken” which sits on the back railing as the personal element requested by his daughters. This is an example of the possibilities if you would like a custom boat made for a special person or event.

Materials & Construction

I have cut and soldered the boom, strut, cables, ties, portholes for the cabin, from 18, 14, and 10 gauge copper wire.
