Made from rare never to be found again iridescent red glass. The perfect thoughtful Valentine gift. A unique, special gift!

This wonderful whimsical cherry red iridescent dragonfly sculpture measures over 6″ x 6″ and stands 3″ tall. I made its wings from hand cut cherry red iridescent stained glass, and hand sculpted its body from silver solder. Its legs are copper wire coated in silver solder. This dragonfly symbol of eternal love, honour and transformation is rust-proof so can be inside or outdoor. My inspiration for this creation is one of the wonderful stories my friends have told me of loved ones gifting them a goodbye in the form of a dragonfly landing on them as a loved one passes.

The legs bend so that the dragonfly can stand balanced anyway you like so that no matter what time of day it is, the glass will cast beautiful shards of colour. The legs will also bend to make a hook for hanging in a window, and to allow a gift to be packed flat to protect the wings for easy shipping.

This whimsical dragonfly can hang from a branch in a tree outside or even become a fanciful steed for your fairy garden. It could sit on a table, or hang from its front feet. It has a detailed little face, its own personality, with crystal eyes and tiny antennae details.
