I designed this beautiful aqua stained glass cutter sailboat as as the second prize in the International Highland Dance Competition. Competitors voted it the best prize ever!

I made this entirely handmade stained glass boat, called a cutter using the copper foil and came methods. I have used aqua blue stained glass for the sails, dark green for the keel and deck, and white for the cabin and hatch.

The boat measures 16″ tall x 11″ long x 4″ wide. It has a miniature anchor, a helm, and is fully rigged. All the railings, rigging and the anchor and helm are made from copper wire. I have used lead free silver solder to construct the boat.

This gorgeous one of a kind boat can be displayed in your foyer, living room or study as a conversation starter, given as a special gift to that someone in your life that loves boating, and water.
